Cash Grain & Forage Programs

Cash Grain Production is the predominant use for much of the farmland in Northwest Ohio. The W&A Agronomists have years of experience working with corn, wheat, and soybeans, as well as oats, rye, and forage crops such as alfalfa. We have several options with individualized fertility programs based on your farm’s unique soil needs and crop yield goals. From in-furrow and two by two planting mixes, to side-dress mixes, to foliar fertilizer applications, we can work with you to address your individual needs.

Vegetable & Fruit Crop Programs

W&A has over 100 years of combined experience in working with vegetable and fruit crops. Our specialty crop
experience includes: asparagus, black berries, cabbage, cantaloupe, cucumbers, green beans, kale, lettuce, pickles, peppers, pumpkins, radishes, raspberries, strawberries, squash, sweet corn, tomatoes, watermelon and zucchini.

Programs are custom designed for each individual grower to meet buyers’ demands for special varieties and quality characteristics. We provide:

-Plans for the rates, timing and application of crop inputs & irrigation

-Scouting

-Record keeping

Many of today’s high value crops are grown using drip irrigation. W&A consultants have knowledge and experience in spoon feeding nutrients using drip fertigation. We can custom blend our fertilizers to fit the needs of any crop.
