Luckey Farmers is excited to announce that we will be hosting a site for the Wood County Soil and Waste Management District’s, Recycle Wood County program. The recycling center will be at the site of the former Luckey Farmers Troy Township Grain Elevator, located across from the Troy Township Building. While the elevator is no longer there, the Luckey Farmers presence in and commitment to the community is still very much alive.
“As a way of giving back to our friends and neighbors and to honor our commitment to environmental stewardship, we are thrilled to participate in this program, “ said Andy Swerlein, president and CEO of Luckey Farmers.
In total, there will be eleven locations placed around Wood County, and residents can take their recyclables to any of these locations 24/7. The start date for these locations is June 25, 2018. These locations will be accepting #1 through #7 food plastic containers, packaging and beverage bottles. Recyclers are asked that to rinse out your containers and replace the lid before recycling. No plastic bags, film plastic, or styrofoam will be accepted.
