Luckey Farmers has once again partnered with local farmers to perform research on different varieties and hybrids of seed brands, such as Gro-Mor, NK, Asgrow and Pioneer, just to name a few.
According to Ed Thurn, Luckey Farmers’ seed production manager and seed sales specialist, “Ten corn test plots, eight soybean test plots, twelve side-by-side trials and one treatment plot were planted across Luckey Farmers’ market area this spring. Our targeted geography allows for higher performing hybrids and varieties to improve our farmers’ yields.”
Doug Uher, seed sales specialist at Luckey Farmers, said “Along with planting test plots, Luckey Farmers has also partnered with the Ohio State Performance Trials and Southwest Ohio Corn Growers. “
