Luckey Farmers is thankful for another successful year of test plot research partnered with local farmers. This year twelve corn plots, seven soybean plots, and two cover crop plots were planted. The test plots ranged in location across northwest Ohio. A big thanks to all of the farmers who donated their land and time this growing season. The plots are a great way to plant multiple hybrids and varieties side by side and research how they perform throughout the growing season. A few examples of brands that are planted in the plots range from Luckey Farmers very own seed line, Gro-Mor, to NK, Nu-Tech, Dekalb, and Pioneer. The information and education that is gathered from these fields is very useful for the cooperative and growers alike to help make decisions for the future. Luckey Farmers hosted two field days in September inviting farmers to walk through the plots with our agronomists followed by lunch where questions and thoughts could be shared. All of the test plot results including yield data and comparisons from the 2014 growing season can be found on the test plot page of our website.
