Luckey Farmers, Inc. is pleased to offer the following internships for the 2018 Summer Season.
Interns at Luckey Farmers have the opportunity to learn about the products and services that have made Luckey Farmers, Inc a success and to use this knowledge first-hand in dealing with farmers on a one-on-one basis. Our internships offer a competitive salary, paid expenses, a company vehicle (when necessary) and an increased potential for full-time employment due to exposure in the multiple facets involved in agriculture. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in your field of interest while making an immediate impact for our customers.
Summer Agronomy Sales Intern
- Assist Agronomy Sales Leaders with crop scouting, soil sampling, and field agronomic problem solving.
- Generate written reports and present them to supervisor and/or customer.
- Learn the features and benefits of all agronomy products and services, assist with over-the-counter sales, and assist with product delivery to customers.
- Facilitate the posting of sign plots and and signage for treated areas to create grower awareness, including picking up signage, posts and bolts and maintaining records of signage to provide updates to sales leaders.
- Take photographic records to record visual effects of products.
- Measure plant height, roots and leaf stages.
- Assist in inventory management procedures.
- Learn how to maintain equipment and facility.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program
Interest in Agronomy Sales
Strong Communications Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office software
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
A valid driver’s license and ability to meet CHS driving standards
Summer Agronomy Operations Intern
- Assist Agronomy Operations Leaders with custom application and inventory management systems.
- Learn to operate post spraying equipment, tender trucks, other application equipment.
- Perform general warehouse and agronomy plant operations.
- Assist in blending fertilizer and chemicals according to personalized work order instructions
- Assist in loading and unloading of vehicles based on work orders.
- Ensure equipment is operating correcting, is clean and promotes a positive image of Luckey Farmers.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program
Interest in Agronomy Operations
Strong Communication Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office software
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
A valid driver’s license and ability to meet Luckey Farmers’ driving standards
