Golden wheat field in the blue sky
As the 2014 growing season comes to a close, the exciting time of preparation for harvest season has begun.
With over 70% of today’s crop conditions ranking in the “Good-Excellent” category, Mother Nature has been very kind to corn and soybean producers. With discussions of record-breaking yields on the horizon, grain storage space and logistics will be a challenge for the fall harvest.
At Luckey Farmers, we are continuously upgrading our facilities to provide more efficient services to all of our members.
- At our Lindsey branch, we rebuilt two overhead super flow systems, purchased a new grain-dryer control system, and replaced several grain pipes.
- Our Lemoyne branch replaced the entire grain temperature control system.
- At our Oak Harbor branch we replaced the grain-pipe to the Butler building so we can now unload soybeans in both pits simultaneously and utilize our capacity more efficiently.
Luckey Farmers has also added a new 2015 grain hopper trailer to our truck fleet.
Numerous other maintenance projects are being completed at all of our facilities to keep your Luckey Farmers locations up-to-date and ready for the 2014 harvest season.
We are looking forward to seeing our customers this fall and want to wish everyone a safe and successful harvest season.
Thank you for choosing Luckey Farmers – Your Cooperative at Work!
