The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has a funding opportunity for conservation assistance to Ohio agricultural producers in the Western Lake Erie Basin. The application deadline for FY21 funding consideration is January 15, 2021.
This funding is to help improve water quality and create environmental benefits. Those who show the most effective system of conservation will receive higher priority. Also, applicants with soils that are at high risk of leaching or producing surface run-off, high levels of phosphorus, and land with direct drainage to tributes within the Basin will receive priority.
